Where can I buy Hooray Purée®?
A:
Our products can be found in many places nationwide, please reference our Store Locator button at the bottom of this page to find a location nearest to you. We are also available for purchase online!

How do you keep your vegetables shelf-stable?
A:
Our process is simple: plant, pick, puree and package. Our team worked for almost two years to find a process that would retain the most nutrients, color and flavor of each vegetable. We were able to use the latest technology that didn’t require the addition of preservatives, additives, or even vitamin fortifications. What you get is 100% single ingredient vegetables.

Are all of your vegetables organic?
A:
We have always used organic vegetables for our purees. Originally, however, our packaging plant was not certified organic, so we were unable to put “USDA organic” on the front of our box. We have since invested in a new plant and all new and future products are certified both USDA Organic and OU Kosher.
Q:
Are you available in larger sizes?
A:
We have 50 oz. pouches and 50 lb. bags for school, restaurants, hospital, etc. We also sell our purees in 55 gallon drums and 2,000 lb. totes to other food companies.

How long can I keep my Hooray Purée® after opening?
A:
We recommend that you promptly refrigerate any unused portion in an airtight container, and use within 48 hours of opening. The 4 oz. pouch size was designed for a single use, however, and we encourage you to use it all!

Is Hooray Purée® gluten free?
A:
Yes, Hooray Purée® is naturally gluten-free! We do not add thickeners, gelatins, gums or stabilizers that contain gluten.

We proudly grow all of our vegetables in the USA.

Doesn’t processing of vegetables destroy the health benefits of them?
A:

Why wouldn’t I just eat fresh vegetables?
A:
You should eat fresh vegetables! Our product was created for those who may be short on time, want to conveniently add more nutrients to their dishes, or who don’t care for the taste or texture of vegetables. You can add in a little Hooray Purée® to your favorite dishes to get more nutrition, or add a lot to also enhance flavor.
Q:
How do I know what to do with Hooray Purée®?
A:
You can just add our products to whatever you are making without much effort or alteration of the current preparation. You can also use it to substitute for water or oil. And, finally, we have dozens of recipes (as easy as “just add to” all the way to “from scratch”) featured on this website - many were contributed from customers just like you! You can also share your recipes on our Facebook page and Twitter using the #hooraypuree hashtag.
Q:
Isn’t the idea of hiding or sneaking vegetables bad for kids?
A:
We believe, along with other professionals, that including pureed vegetables in recipes is not intended to be deceptive nor a replacement for eating other forms of vegetables. In fact, we encourage parents to boast of the “add in” nutrition value and health benefits of our 100% vegetable purees. We feel that when children learn that their favorite dishes don’t taste any different (or but instead, taste better!) when a vegetable puree is added, it may make them more receptive to trying other forms of vegetables.

Do schools use Hooray Purée®?
A:
The USDA has increased the number of dark green and orange vegetables required to be served in the school lunch program. We are proud to be collaborating with many districts on their menu design and helping them achieve these requirements by providing our purées in their schools. Are there any other benefits to using Hooray Purée®?
A:
It has been shown that people who consumed meals made with vegetable purees ate less calories for two reasons: because they were more full, so they ate less, and because often the vegetables were used in place of a more fattening or calorie-dense ingredient.
